Print scale calculator
Use a measured test print to calculate the next custom scale percentage.
Runs in this page. No DeskPlain upload, account or saved history.
Measure once. Calculate the next test.
Use the same unit for both lengths. If your current print setting is not 100%, enter the percentage you used.
Enter your measured lengths, then calculate. Example: 100 ÷ 95 × 100% = 105.26%.
How to use the result
- Confirm the correct document and printer paper size.
- Print one test with a known scale; measure a labelled line on paper.
- Enter the intended and measured lengths and that test’s scale.
- Use the suggested custom scale, then measure again.
Formula: new percentage = current percentage × intended length ÷ measured length. The tool does not change your printer. Non-printable margins, different scaling in a driver, and clipped content can still affect the result.
