Browser-based tools

The print and paper calculators perform arithmetic in your browser. The word counter processes text on the page. The CSV checker reads the file you choose locally using browser file APIs; it does not upload it. The printer checklist uses only the options you select, and the formula finder filters a static reference collection. These inputs are not sent to a DeskPlain application server, stored in a database or written to browser local storage by our tool code. Copying text uses your browser’s clipboard permission and only happens when you select Copy.

Do not paste confidential information into a browser on a shared or untrusted device. Browser extensions, device settings and clipboard services operate separately from DeskPlain.

Site search

Search downloads the public guide index and matches your query locally in the browser. The search query is not submitted to a remote DeskPlain search service.

Hosting

Cloudflare Pages hosts this site. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information and access logs, to deliver and protect it. Cloudflare’s services operate separately from DeskPlain’s browser-based tools. Read Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for information about its data practices.

Optional analytics

DeskPlain uses Google Analytics 4 only if you select Accept analytics. Until you accept, or if you reject, the Google tag is not loaded and no Google Analytics requests or consent pings are sent.

With your consent, we measure page views using a sanitized canonical page path and title, plus the referring site’s origin without its full page path. URL query strings and fragments are excluded. We also measure clicks on static download links; a click does not confirm that a download completed. Tool inputs, CSV contents, site-search terms, form contents and email correspondence are not included in these events. Automatic Enhanced Measurement is disabled.

Google Analytics uses optional cookies and browser identifiers. Google also processes technical request data, such as IP addresses and browser or device information, and may derive an approximate region. This information is not described as anonymous. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled, and advertising permissions are denied. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your analytics choice

Your Accept or Reject preference is saved in this browser’s local storage so the site can remember it. This preference is separate from analytics cookies. Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent blocks further Analytics event collection and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies. If Google code was already loaded, the preferences panel offers a Reload this page button to remove it from the current page. Reloading clears unsaved tool inputs. It does not delete information Google has already received. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

This site currently has no AdSense code, advertising pixels or newsletter services. DeskPlain does not set advertising cookies. Any future advertising setup will require this notice and the applicable controls to be updated.

External links and downloads

Guides link to official documentation. Following an external link takes you to another provider’s site, which has its own privacy practices. Template and checklist downloads are static files; editing them on your device is not a submission to DeskPlain.

Email correspondence and privacy questions

You can contact DeskPlain at [email protected]. Selecting the link opens your mail application. If you choose to email us, your sender address, message content and any attachments are processed through Gmail and used to handle your message. Gmail is a separate email service with its own privacy practices. This site does not operate a contact form or upload email attachments through the browser.
